What is Lite Dentistry and How Can it Help You?

Do you feel self-conscious about your smile? You’re not alone. Over one third of Americans are unhappy with the look of their pearly whites, and that number is growing every year.

Fortunately, modern cosmetic treatments offer patients new ways to improve their smiles. Even better, new methods are making the process easier, quicker, and more accessible than ever.

At Pickens Family Dentistry, we want to help you feel great about how you look and feel. If you’re looking to revamp your smile and get the best that modern dentistry has to offer, look no further than lite dentistry.

What is lite dentistry?

Lite dentistry works to provide predictability and precision to the cosmetic dentistry process. By leveraging Digital Smile Design and modern cosmetic dentistry treatments, we can offer you a unique blend of minimally invasive treatments to provide a natural-looking smile.

Using the Digital Smile Design software, lite dentistry uses AI to give you an understanding of what treatments will look like prior to treatment. This leads to better results that you’ll be thrilled with for the rest of your life. Lite dentistry helps keep costs down too, as it minimizes risk and will provide just what you want and need the first time.

With lite dentistry, the focus is always on you. It provides you the best treatment experience through confidence, certainty, and premier cosmetic results. It is the future of cosmetic dentistry.

Digital Smile Design

Digital Smile Design is the key tool to the Lite dentistry process. It allows you and Dr. Pickens to zero in on the treatments you need, what they will look like once treatment has been performed, and tweak your treatment plan in real time. This allows you to find the perfect treatments and feel confident going into the operatory. So how does it work?

By taking 3-D photos, videos, and scans of your smile, we can get a perfect representation of your teeth, gums, and jaw. Once these are entered into the DSD software, we can make adjustments to your smile in real-time to see how different treatments will look on your smile and face. Every time we make an adjustment, you’ll be able to see a 3-D image of how a certain treatment will affect your smile.

4 ways lite dentistry can help you

1.Predictable treatment outcomes

A common fear with many patients prior to treatment is that they’ll be investing in outcomes that they won’t even like. Lite dentistry takes the guesswork out of treatment selection to solve this problem.

How does this help you? In lots of ways. There have never been more cosmetic treatment options available to choose from. While all provide great value and can help lots of people, they don’t all solve the same issues. A cosmetic treatment that is right for one person may not be perfect for another. But how do you decide which one to invest in?

By leveraging DSD and lite dentistry, you don’t have to just rely on Dr. Picken’s recommendation. You can visually see if it will actually solve the problem you have with your smile. This eliminates the possibility that you’ll walk out of the operatory unsatisfied with the treatment. It will also open the possibility of treatments that you and Dr. Pickens may not have thought of otherwise.

2. More cohesive plan

A key part of lite dentistry is having multiple non-invasive treatments work together to provide amazing results. This complementary treatment process relies on having a specific vision for how they will come together to provide a better treatment than the sum of the individual treatments.

This cohesive plan is not possible without DSD and the lite dentistry process. There is simply just too much guesswork without the high-tech DSD software to be certain how treatments will come together to provide that excellent smile you’ll receive with lite dentistry.

3. Lower cost, less intrusive dental work, and a shorter treatment process

Without the Digital Smile Design process, we’d likely have to resort to more intensive options to solve the cosmetic problem that you are experiencing. This can mean more painful treatment, more expensive treatment, and a longer drawn out process.

With lite dentistry, since no major work is necessary, there will be no long, drawn out treatment process. This results in a more comfortable experience that will end up costing you less and result in reduced stress in the dentist chair.

4. Better final results

Most importantly, lite dentistry results in better outcomes and a happier patient. Since you’ll know exactly what your smile will look like after treatment, you’ll know you’ll be thrilled with your new pearly whites afterward.

Compare that to the old process, which relied on hope and the past experiences of your dentist to decide on treatments. In this old scenario, even perfectly performed dental treatments resulted in poor outcomes, as the client did not receive the perfect treatment that was right for them.

Because of the planning and experimentation with the DSD software at the beginning of the process, you’ll be sure to love your smile at the end and receive excellent results.
