How Digital Smile Design Works
With Digital Smile Design, there’s no guesswork when selecting treatment.
As part of the process, we’ll analyze your facial and dental proportions through a series of high quality digital photographs and videos. This will help us understand the relationship between your teeth, gums, lips, and smile, and offer cosmetic treatments that will work with your distinct face and smile.
The Digital Smile Design process is simple!
A series of digital photographs, computerized scans, and videos are taken of your smile, bite, and mouth and entered into a computer.
You’ll discuss with Dr. Pickens your goals for how you’d like your smile to look and what treatments might work for you.
Dr. Pickens can move and manipulate the image in real time based on your feedback to mimic how your smile will look with different treatment options. You can even use an old image of yourself with a younger smile as a guide!
A 3D mock-up is produced to give you a real-time view of what your treatment will look like.
Once treatment is decided, you’ll work with Dr. Pickens to determine a treatment plan that will deliver the smile of your dreams. The result is a complete match to your expectations and the finished treatment.
