Maintaining your Preventative Care
Maintaining your regular preventative dental care is important for your overall health, especially against the threat of COVID-19. These treatments also reduce the risk of developing more significant and costly dental problems. We take safety seriously during all appointments, and are doing all we can to make sure our patients, staff, and community stay safe.

What We’re Doing To Keep You Safe
Some changes we’ve made to continue to ensure a safe and healthy environment:
Screening all team members for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering the building.
Increased personal protective equipment including masks, face shields, surgical gowns and caps.
Requiring all patients to wear masks upon entering and leaving the treatment room.
Requiring hand sanitizing upon entering the building.
Increased cleaning protocols and physical barriers.
Utilizing an oral pre-rinse prior to treatment.
Your Appointment
Health never takes a back seat at Pickens Family Dentistry. In most major ways, your appointment will be the same as it always has. You’ll meet with our team and be treated safely and expertly by Dr. Pickens and our friendly staff.
Some things to know prior to your next appointment:
Please wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have one, we’ll be more than happy to provide you with one when you arrive.
If you have a fever or feel sick, please call and let us know. We’ll be more than happy to reschedule your appointment for two weeks later to help protect our team and other patients.
While in our office, please maintain social distancing by keeping 6 feet of space or more between yourself and other patients as well as our front office team.
If you experience a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms within 2 days after your appointment, please call us and let us know.

Have you had a cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell in the last 10 days?
Have you been in contact with anyone who tested positive or is suspected positive for COVID-19?
