COVID-19 Updates

We are taking the necessary precautions to keep you safe.

At Pickens Family Dentistry, we are continually focused on the health and well-being of our team and our patients.

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone, we follow the direction of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Dental Association by implementing necessary precautions.

My first appointment after the pandemic shutdown and I felt very comfortable with the screening process and the communication of the staff. Very much appreciated!

Maintaining your Preventative Care

Maintaining your regular preventative dental care is important for your overall health, especially against the threat of COVID-19. These treatments also reduce the risk of developing more significant and costly dental problems. We take safety seriously during all appointments, and are doing all we can to make sure our patients, staff, and community stay safe.

If you have any questions about your needed dental care or want to schedule an appointment, please contact us or call (360) 254-6411.

What We’re Doing To Keep You Safe

Some changes we’ve made to continue to ensure a safe and healthy environment:

  • Screening all team members for COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering the building.

  • Increased personal protective equipment including masks, face shields, surgical gowns and caps.

  • Requiring all patients to wear masks upon entering and leaving the treatment room.

  • Requiring hand sanitizing upon entering the building.

  • Increased cleaning protocols and physical barriers.

  • Utilizing an oral pre-rinse prior to treatment.

Your Appointment

Health never takes a back seat at Pickens Family Dentistry. In most major ways, your appointment will be the same as it always has. You’ll meet with our team and be treated safely and expertly by Dr. Pickens and our friendly staff.

Some things to know prior to your next appointment:

  • Please wear a mask to your appointment. If you do not have one, we’ll be more than happy to provide you with one when you arrive.

  • If you have a fever or feel sick, please call and let us know. We’ll be more than happy to reschedule your appointment for two weeks later to help protect our team and other patients.

  • While in our office, please maintain social distancing by keeping 6 feet of space or more between yourself and other patients as well as our front office team.

  • If you experience a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms within 2 days after your appointment, please call us and let us know.
